1/4" x 3/8" x 50 Ft Insulated Copper Tubing
DABUND 1/4" x 3/8" x 50 ft insulated copper tubing is a paired HVAC refrigerant line set designed for compatible ductless mini split air conditioners, heat pumps and refrigeration systems. The set combines a 1/4-inch liquid line and a 3/8-inch suction line in an approximately 15.24-meter coil, with white embossed PE insulation applied to help limit heat transfer and surface condensation.
The seamless copper tubing is manufactured from C12200 phosphorus-deoxidized copper and is designed to meet ASTM B280 requirements for air-conditioning and refrigeration field service. DABUND can customize copper dimensions, wall thickness, insulation thickness, coil length, printed identification and private-label packaging for HVAC distributors, equipment brands and installation-kit suppliers.
Compatibility notice: Before ordering or installing this 50 ft HVAC line set, confirm the required liquid-line diameter, suction-line diameter, copper wall thickness, refrigerant, maximum permitted line length, vertical separation and additional refrigerant charge in the equipment manufacturer's installation manual.

Key Features of the 50 Ft Insulated Copper Tubing
ASTM B280 copper tubing: The C12200 DHP copper tubes are intended for air-conditioning and refrigeration field service and provide the formability required for professional routing, cutting, flaring and brazing.
50-foot paired coil: The approximately 15.24-meter length supports longer installation routes between compatible indoor and outdoor units. The system's maximum line length and additional refrigerant requirements must still be verified before installation.
White multilayer PE insulation: The embossed outer film, cross-linked PE foam layer and closed-cell inner structure are designed to improve mechanical protection, limit moisture penetration and reduce unwanted heat transfer.
Protected tube ends: Plastic caps help prevent dust, moisture and foreign material from entering the refrigerant tubing during storage, transport and installation preparation.
OEM-ready construction: DABUND can supply custom tube combinations, copper wall thicknesses, insulation thicknesses, coil lengths, printed markings and retail or wholesale packaging.
Copper Tube and White PE Insulation Construction
The product consists of two seamless copper tubes supplied together as one insulated coil. The 1/4-inch tube normally functions as the liquid line and the 3/8-inch tube normally functions as the suction or gas line when specified by the connected equipment. Actual system configuration must follow the equipment manufacturer's piping diagram.
The insulation helps maintain refrigerant temperature, reduce surface condensation and protect the copper during handling. Insulation joints, cut ends and outdoor sections must be sealed and protected correctly to maintain the vapor barrier and long-term performance.

Closed-Cell Inner Layer
Embossed PE Outer Layer
The outer layer uses an embossed PE film designed to improve abrasion resistance, handling durability and resistance to environmental aging. Outdoor exposure requirements should be confirmed for the exact insulation grade ordered.
Cross-Linked PE Foam Middle Layer
The middle foam layer has a dense cellular structure intended to reduce heat transfer, absorb installation impact and limit water penetration.
Closed-Cell Inner Layer
The closed-cell inner layer is designed to fit around the copper tubing and support thermal and condensation control across the stated temperature range of the selected insulation specification.
Applications and Equipment Compatibility
A 1/4-inch liquid line paired with a 3/8-inch suction line is specified by selected ductless mini split and heat-pump models. It is not universally correct for every system with the same BTU or tonnage rating because piping requirements vary by brand, model, refrigerant, route length and vertical lift.
Use this 50 ft insulated copper tubing only when the equipment installation manual permits both the 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch outside diameters and the full 50-foot route. Some systems require additional refrigerant beyond the factory-charged line length.
Installation, cutting, flaring, brazing, nitrogen pressure testing, evacuation and refrigerant charging should be performed by qualified HVAC personnel in accordance with the equipment instructions and local regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does 1/4 x 3/8 x 50 ft mean?
It means the paired line set contains one 1/4-inch outside-diameter copper tube and one 3/8-inch outside-diameter copper tube, each supplied in a 50-foot coil. The metric outside diameters are approximately 6.35 mm and 9.52 mm.
Is this insulated copper tubing suitable for every mini split?
No. It is suitable only for equipment that specifies a 1/4-inch liquid line and a 3/8-inch suction line. Check the installation manual for tube sizes, wall thickness, flare connections, refrigerant and maximum permitted line length.
Can the full 50-foot line set be used without adding refrigerant?
Not necessarily. Many systems are factory charged only for a specified line length. A longer route may require additional refrigerant calculated according to the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
Why is ASTM B280 important for HVAC copper tubing?
ASTM B280 specifies requirements for seamless copper tube intended for air-conditioning and refrigeration field service. It gives buyers a recognized basis for defining ACR copper tubing material and dimensional quality.
What is the purpose of the white PE insulation?
The insulation reduces heat transfer, helps control condensation and protects the copper tubing during transport and installation. Correctly sealing all joints and exposed ends is essential for maintaining the vapor barrier.
Is the white PE insulation suitable for outdoor installation?
Outdoor suitability depends on the selected insulation grade, UV exposure, climate and local code. Confirm the required UV resistance and whether line-hide, protective tape, coating or an external jacket is needed.
Is the tubing compatible with R410A or R32?
Compatibility depends on copper wall thickness, pressure rating, fittings, cleanliness and the equipment specification. State the refrigerant and required working pressure when requesting a quotation so the correct tubing configuration can be confirmed.
Are flare nuts or installation accessories included?
The standard package configuration should be confirmed in the quotation. DABUND can supply insulated copper tubing alone or customize kits with flare nuts, communication cable, drain hose, wall sleeve, wrapping tape and other installation accessories.
Can DABUND customize copper wall thickness and insulation thickness?
Yes. Copper wall thickness and insulation thickness can be configured according to the tube diameter, refrigerant pressure, condensation risk, climate, energy code and buyer specification.
Can I order OEM printing and private-label packaging?
Yes. DABUND supports OEM and ODM requirements including company names, size and length markings, labels, carton artwork, manuals and private-brand packaging.
Can I request a sample before a wholesale order?
Yes. Qualified buyers can request free samples, with express freight normally paid by the buyer. Specify the tube dimensions and insulation configuration required for evaluation.
What information is required for a quotation?
Provide the two tube outside diameters, copper wall thickness, coil length, insulation material and thickness, refrigerant, working pressure, certification requirements, order quantity, packaging design and destination port.
What are the usual payment and delivery terms?
Common payment options include T/T, L/C at sight and credit card, subject to order approval. Delivery terms can include EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF. Final terms should be confirmed in the formal quotation.
How long is the production lead time?
A typical lead time is approximately 15 to 20 days. The final schedule depends on order quantity, copper specification, insulation customization, packaging requirements and current production capacity.
